Some individual clients may seek relationship counseling and wish to open the session to allow for other people to join. I work with my individual clients to identify their goals for the relationship such as to increase mutual understanding, identify needs and boundaries, and work through solvable and, even, unsolvable problems.
I employ principles of the Gottmans’ Sound Relationship House, which includes mutual respect, conflict management, relationship building, and more. I also employ attachment theory, trauma healing, and family systems approaches as needed.
I spend more and more time at my desk these days, doing everything from preparing the family taxes to working on this blog.
